Please read these terms carefully before booking any travel services with Escape2Kashmir.

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Traveler," "Client," or "you") and Escape2Kashmir ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), governing all travel services, tour packages, and related arrangements offered through our website, offices, or authorized agents. By booking any service with Escape2Kashmir, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

General Terms

Escape2Kashmir is a registered travel and tourism company operating within Pakistan, specializing in curated travel experiences across the Kashmir region, including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

  • These Terms apply to all tour packages, custom itineraries, accommodation bookings, transportation services, and adventure activities offered by Escape2Kashmir.
  • By making a booking—whether online, by phone, or in person—you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or have obtained parental/guardian consent, and that you accept these Terms in full.
  • We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon publication on our website. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
  • All descriptions, photographs, and information provided on our website and marketing materials are for general guidance. We make every effort to ensure accuracy but do not guarantee that all details will remain unchanged at the time of travel.
  • Any special requests (dietary, accessibility, room preferences) should be communicated at the time of booking. While we endeavor to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee their fulfillment.

Booking & Reservations

2.1 Booking Process

Bookings can be made through our website, via phone, email, or at our authorized offices. A booking is considered a formal request until confirmed by Escape2Kashmir with a written confirmation (email or booking voucher).

  • All bookings require submission of accurate personal details, including full legal names as they appear on your CNIC or passport.
  • Incorrect information provided at the time of booking may result in service denial without refund.
  • A booking reference number will be issued upon confirmation. Please retain this number for all future correspondence.

2.2 Confirmation

Your booking is confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit and issuance of a booking confirmation from Escape2Kashmir. Verbal agreements or preliminary inquiries do not constitute a confirmed booking. We will send a confirmation email within 24–48 hours of receiving your deposit.

2.3 Group Bookings

Group bookings (10 or more travelers) are subject to separate terms and pricing. Group rates, itinerary adjustments, and special arrangements must be discussed and agreed upon in writing with our group travel coordinator. A designated group leader must be appointed to serve as the primary point of contact.

Please Note: Group bookings require a minimum deposit of 40% of the total package cost, with the balance due at least 21 days before the departure date.

Pricing & Payment

3.1 Currency & Pricing

All prices are quoted in Pakistani Rupees (PKR) unless otherwise stated. Prices listed on our website are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed. Once confirmed, the quoted price is locked for that specific booking.

3.2 Deposit Requirements

  • Standard Packages: A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total package cost is required at the time of booking.
  • Premium & Luxury Packages: A deposit of 50% is required due to limited availability and advance arrangements.
  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be settled at least 14 days prior to the departure date. Failure to pay the balance on time may result in automatic cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.

3.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods for your convenience:

  • Bank transfer (details provided upon booking confirmation)
  • JazzCash and EasyPaisa mobile payments
  • Credit/Debit card payments (Visa, Mastercard)
  • Cash payments at our authorized offices (receipt will be issued)
Important: All bank transfer payments must include your booking reference number. Payments without a reference may experience processing delays.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be submitted in writing via email to Escape2Kashmir@gmail.com. The cancellation date is the date we receive your written notice. The following cancellation charges apply based on the number of days before the scheduled departure:

  • Refunds will be processed within 15–20 business days from the date of cancellation approval.
  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
  • If Escape2Kashmir cancels a trip due to insufficient enrollment or operational reasons, you will receive a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative departure date.
  • Peak season bookings (June–August, December–January) may be subject to stricter cancellation policies as communicated at the time of booking.

Travel Requirements

5.1 Identification Documents

  • Pakistani Nationals: A valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is mandatory for all travelers aged 18 and above. Travelers under 18 must carry a valid B-Form or Child Registration Certificate.
  • Foreign Nationals: A valid passport with at least 6 months' validity and the appropriate visa or No Objection Certificate (NOC) are required. Certain areas in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan may require additional permits, which Escape2Kashmir can assist in obtaining at an additional cost.
  • It is the traveler's sole responsibility to ensure all identification and travel documents are valid and up to date.

5.2 Health Requirements

Traveling to Kashmir involves varying altitudes and terrain. We strongly recommend:

  • Consulting your physician before embarking on trips to high-altitude destinations (above 3,000 meters), such as those in the Neelum Valley, Deosai Plateau, or Nanga Parbat Base Camp.
  • Carrying personal medications, including remedies for altitude sickness, motion sickness, and any pre-existing conditions.
  • Informing Escape2Kashmir of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary restrictions that may affect your travel experience.

5.3 Physical Fitness

Certain tours and adventure activities (trekking, hiking, camping, and rafting) require a reasonable level of physical fitness. Escape2Kashmir reserves the right to exclude any participant from an activity if their physical condition poses a safety risk to themselves or others. No refund will be provided for activities missed due to fitness-related exclusions.

Liability & Disclaimers

  • Escape2Kashmir acts as an organizer and intermediary for travel services. We engage third-party providers for accommodation, transportation, and certain activities. While we carefully vet our partners, we are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, delay, or expense arising from the acts, omissions, or negligence of third-party service providers.
  • We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings, luggage, or valuables during the trip. We strongly recommend that travelers obtain comprehensive travel insurance before departure.
  • Escape2Kashmir shall not be held liable for any injury, illness, or death occurring during adventure activities, including but not limited to trekking, white-water rafting, paragliding, horse riding, or camping, especially where travelers have been informed of associated risks.
  • Photographs and video content captured during trips may be used by Escape2Kashmir for promotional purposes unless you provide written objection at the time of booking.
  • Our maximum aggregate liability for any claims arising from a booking shall not exceed the total amount paid by the traveler for that specific booking.
Travel Insurance: We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellation, medical emergencies, evacuation, and personal belongings. Escape2Kashmir can recommend reputable insurance providers upon request.

Force Majeure

Escape2Kashmir shall not be held responsible for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control ("Force Majeure Events"), including but not limited to:

  • Weather Conditions: Heavy snowfall, avalanches, landslides, flooding, or extreme weather events that are common in the mountainous Kashmir region, particularly during winter months and monsoon season.
  • Natural Disasters: Earthquakes, glacial lake outburst floods (GLOFs), volcanic activity, or other natural calamities affecting the region.
  • Road Closures: Closure of key routes such as the Karakoram Highway, Kaghan-Naran Road, or Neelum Valley Road due to landslides, snow, or government directives.
  • Government Actions: Curfews, travel bans, border restrictions, permit cancellations, or changes in regulations by federal, provincial, or local authorities.
  • Civil Unrest & Security: Strikes, protests, civil disturbance, or security situations in the travel area.
  • Pandemics & Health Emergencies: Outbreaks, quarantine orders, or public health restrictions imposed by authorities.

In Force Majeure situations, Escape2Kashmir will make every reasonable effort to provide alternative arrangements, adjust itineraries, or reschedule departures. If a trip is canceled entirely due to Force Majeure, travelers will be offered a credit voucher valid for 12 months or a partial refund minus any irrecoverable costs already incurred.

Trip Modifications

8.1 Modifications by the Traveler

  • Requests to change travel dates, package type, or destinations must be submitted in writing at least 14 days prior to the original departure date.
  • Modifications are subject to availability and may incur an administrative fee of PKR 3,000 per change, in addition to any price difference between the original and modified booking.
  • Name changes or transfers to another person are permitted up to 10 days before departure, subject to a PKR 2,000 transfer fee and supplier approval.

8.2 Modifications by Escape2Kashmir

  • We reserve the right to modify itineraries, accommodations, or transportation arrangements if necessary due to operational requirements, safety concerns, or supplier changes.
  • Minor Changes: Changes to accommodation properties of equivalent standard, slight route variations, or adjusted activity timings. These do not entitle the traveler to a refund.
  • Significant Changes: Changes affecting the overall nature of the trip, such as major destination alterations or reduction in trip duration by more than 24 hours. In such cases, you will be offered the option of accepting the revised itinerary, transferring to an alternative trip of equal or greater value, or receiving a full refund.

Code of Conduct

All travelers are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and responsible manner throughout the duration of the trip. By booking with Escape2Kashmir, you agree to:

  • Respect Local Culture: Kashmir is a region of diverse cultural and religious heritage. Travelers must dress modestly when visiting religious sites (mosques, shrines, and temples) and respect local customs and traditions.
  • Follow Instructions: Comply with all instructions given by Escape2Kashmir tour leaders, guides, and local authorities, especially regarding safety protocols in mountainous terrain.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Practice Leave No Trace principles. Do not litter, damage flora or fauna, or disturb wildlife habitats. Help us preserve the pristine beauty of Kashmir for future generations.
  • Prohibited Conduct: The use of illegal substances, excessive alcohol consumption, harassment of other travelers or locals, and any behavior deemed disruptive or dangerous is strictly prohibited.
  • Consequences: Escape2Kashmir reserves the right to remove any traveler from a trip without refund if their behavior endangers themselves, other travelers, or the group's well-being. The traveler will bear all additional costs incurred for their return journey.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or any booking made with Escape2Kashmir shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.

  • In the event of any dispute, both parties agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation and mediation before resorting to formal legal proceedings.
  • If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
  • These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Escape2Kashmir regarding the subject matter herein and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings.
